Description | A congressional candidate lied to federal agents and tapped an Albanian loan shark to bankroll his failed campaign against U.S. Rep. John Conyers, according to court records.
The allegations against Westland businessman John Goci were unsealed Wednesday in a complaint charging him with lying to agents, a five-year felony.
The charge stems from an FBI investigation into Tomo Duhanaj, the owner of Bray's Hamburgers, a popular Westland joint.
Goci will be arraigned at 1 p.m. today in federal court. |
