Description | George P. Bush — nephew of former president George W. Bush — joined on Tuesday a growing number of voices questioning GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s immigration stance, or lack thereof.
The New York Times reports that Bush, son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, told reporters in Washington that President Barack Obama had better positioned himself with Hispanic voters by deciding last month to end the possibility of deportation for nearly a million young illegal immigrants.
“Governor Romney had an opportunity to get in front of the president on the issue,” said Bush, who works at an Austin investment firm. “But the president clearly has taken the initiative on it.” |
