Description | A self-proclaimed pack rat showed up to Wednesday’s township council meeting to complain that police haven’t yet located a bathtub he claims was stolen in March from the backyard of a home he owns.
How Herbert Shaw, 82, even knew it was missing is another question.
The backyard of his 44th Street property near Cottage Avenue is packed with junk, including a rusty school bus, old tires, several cars, an unused van, tables, and a variety of other items, which Shaw lovingly refers to as “antiques.”
“I’m one of the original hunter gatherers,” said Shaw, who has run for without success virtually every elected office he could possibly run for over the past half century. “Call me a hoarder, collector, whatever you want, but I have a lot of antiques.” |
