Description | First Congressional Candidate Bobby Jindal today announced that he has received the endorsements of two well-known Jefferson Parish officials – Sheriff Harry Lee and Council Chairman Aaron Broussard. Jindal received the endorsements during an afternoon news conference at 2:00 pm.
“I am honored by the friendship and endorsements of Sheriff Lee and Chairman Broussard, and am thrilled to have the suipport of both Republican and Democrat parish-wide officials” Jindal said. “Working together, we can continue to improve the lives of voters in the First Congressional District and make a great impact on the state as a whole.”
“If we hope to regain the leadership we are losing with the retirement of Sen. John Breaux and Cong. Billy Tauzin we need to choose the best possible candidate and Bobby Jindal offers the greatest opportunity to regain Louisiana 's leadership in Washington ,” said Broussard.
