| Description | Former Gov. Donald L. Carcieri ended speculation Wednesday that he will run for the U.S. Senate, telling a meeting of the state Republican Party Central Committee that he has decided not to run.
"I loved being governor," he told a gathering of about 200 Republicans at the Rhode Island Shriners Building. "But I don't think the Senate would suit me." |
