Description | Governor Scott Walker's request for more time to review recall petitions has been denied by a Dane County judge.
That ruling came down Friday afternoon after a hearing that lasted about an hour.
The governor's attorney requested an additional two weeks to review signatures.
The judge told Governor Walker's attorney they did not provide sufficient evidence that an extension could possibly find enough invalid signatures to prevent an election.
Last month, the same judge gave the governor's campaign 30 days to review petitions. That's three times the ten days normally allowed by state law. |
