DescriptionRepublican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is free to release his contracts as an adviser to Freddie Mac (FMCC), the mortgage finance company says.

Gingrich told Bloomberg News in a Dec. 30 interview that he couldn’t make the documents public because Freddie Mac wouldn’t waive a confidentiality agreement. Gingrich’s consulting firm was paid at least $1.6 million over eight years for his services.

“I don’t particularly want them to sue us,” he said.
