DescriptionFormer Prince George's County state's attorney Glenn F. Ivey is officially running for Congress, according to his campaign spokesman.

The filing means Ivey (D), who now works as a partner at the Washington, D.C., office of Venable LLP, will run for the House of Representatives District 4 seat against incumbent U.S. Rep. Donna F. Edwards (D) of Fort Washington in the 2012 election. Ivey filed his papers late Tuesday, according to spokesman Ramon Korionoff.
