DescriptionIn announcing his first bid for public office Tuesday, a Decatur resident denounced the four-term congressman he hopes to replace.

Carl Cole, 29, said U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt, R-Haley-ville, has sold out his 4th District constituents, instead catering to the corporate interests who contribute to his campaigns.

Cole is a lawyer with the Decatur firm of Eyster, Key, Tubb, Weaver and Roth. He graduated from The University of Alabama law school in 2000. He is on the executive committee of the Morgan County Democratic Party. He is unmarried. He grew up in the Sand Mountain area, where he was a successful athlete. He is a Baptist.
