DescriptionA random survey last week by Daily Herald reporters and editors last week found 87 percent of 162 suburban residents could not name even one Senate candidate from either party.

The admittedly unscientific poll aimed to see if people were paying attention to the race. The question was simple: Can you name two candidates - Republican or Democrat - vying for the U.S. Senate seat?

The frequent negative responses suggest the candidates have a lot of work to do before the March 16 primary.
