Description | Newton Mayor Setti Warren is expected to quit the Senate race, the Boston Globe reported.
Warren was part of a crowded and growing field of Democrats hoping to unseat Republican Scott Brown, who won the seat in a special election in 2010 following the death of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.
It was not immediately clear why Warren, a first-term mayor and the state's first popularly elected black mayor, dropped out.
