Description | On Friday, Alaska’s Sarah Palin will make an appearance at the Iowa State Fair, a popular venue for presidential candidates.
Her visit falls during the same week as a nationally-televised GOP debate and the Iowa Straw Poll – two events she’s not a part of because she’s not a candidate.
The email doesn’t say which day she’s coming, but Iowa GOP activist Becky Beach told The Des Moines Register that Palin’s team told her the visit will be Friday.
The lightning rod Palin, who captures intense media attention wherever she goes, has been accused of spotlight-grabbing before. She slipped into New Hampshire the same day Mitt Romney was there to announce his second presidential run, and visited Iowa last month for a movie screening the same day President Barack Obama was in the state.
Palin sent out an email via her political action committee, SarahPAC, just before 4 p.m. today saying she’s relaunching her tour of historic sites around the country. |
