Description | A 40-year-old Mesa investment manager is entering the GOP Senate primary in Arizona and pledging to outspend Rep. Jeff Flake.
In his first interview with a national media outlet, Wil Cardon told POLITICO Friday he will formally file the paperwork as a Republican to seek retiring Sen. Jon Kyl's seat within the next two weeks because Arizonans deserve a candidate from outside of Washington.
"I've had enough. I'm a conservative, I'm a jobs creator, I'm a father and I just can't stand by. I'm not going to be a business as usual guy. I know how to create jobs, how to get the economy going and I think Washington needs more people like that," Cardon said in a 30-minute telephone conversation. |
