Description | Former Indiana Congressman David McIntosh is considering a political comeback by challenging longtime Congressman Dan Burton in next year's Republican primary.
McIntosh tells The Indianapolis Star that he's forming an exploratory committee to run in central Indiana's 5th Congressional District. McIntosh is a lawyer and registered lobbyist for a Washington-based firm but rents a home in Pendleton.
McIntosh says other Republicans have encouraged him to run for the congressional seat that Burton has held onto despite stiff primary challenges the past two elections. |
