Along with Fischer, Attorney General Jon Bruning, State Treasurer Don Stenberg, businessman Pat Flynn and truck driver Spencer Zimmerman are also announced candidates for the Republican nomination. The seat is now held by Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who has yet to announce whether he will seek a third term.
