Description | Sen. Chris Coons (D-Delaware) appeared on Face the Nation Sunday morning — technically during a Senate vacation for Easter. The Senate has taken five vacations since it came into session in January: everyone gets Passover off, Jewish or not, President’s Day merits a week off, and so on and so forth.
Coons, a freshman, had some choice words about those vacations, namely that the Senate shouldn’t take so many of them.
“I don’t think the Senate is making as much progress as it needs to,” Coons said. “At times I’m so frustrated, I feel like I’m banging my head against the wall trying to encourage forward movement.”
