DescriptionFormer Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee accused conservative talk host Glenn Beck Thursday of likening him to a "Nazi" over his support for first lady Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign.

On his radio show earlier this week, Beck labeled Huckabee a "progressive" for supporting Obama's anti-obesity initiative.

Huckabee took exception to that characterization, noting it's a term Beck has equated with "cancer" and "Nazi."

"What did I do that apparently caused him to link me to a fatal disease and a form of government that murdered millions of innocent Jews?" Huckabee wrote on the website of his political action committee. "I had the audacity — not of hope — but the audacity to give respect to the efforts of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign to address childhood obesity."

Huckabee said while he has clear differences with the policies of President Obama, he has "appreciated" the first lady's efforts to combat childhood obesity — efforts Huckabee said Beck misrepresented "either out of ignorance or out of a deliberate attempt to distort them to create yet another 'boogeyman' hiding in the closet that he and only he can see."

Huckabee and Beck both host programs on Fox News, though Beck has announced he is leaving the network.
