DescriptionPolitical talk gets even dirtier in Wisconsin.

In a quarterly letter to constituetns, embattled Wisconsin State Senator Randy Hopper (R-Fond du Lac) lists his office number as 1-888-736-8729, which leads to a recording telling callers to dial 1-800-475-TALK, 'the country's favorite live talk', The Raw Story reports.

Those who dial that number are said to hear the greeting, 'Hey there, sexy guy...'

When Mail Online tried the number from our New York office, we got a message saying we aren't authorized to dial it from our location.

In a statement on their website, Mr Hopper's office calls the phone number a typo.

The Senator wrote: 'Recently, I sent some constituents a letter providing an update on the start of the 2011-12 Legislative Session. Unfortunately, the letter contained a typographical mistake and incorrectly listed my toll-free number.

'If you would like to contact my office, you can reach me toll-free at 1 (888) 736-8720. I am always happy to respond to and assist constituents with their needs', he explained.

Even so, Mr Hopper's political enemies are seizing the opportunity to embarrass the leader.
