DescriptionDonald Trump says he will "probably" run for president as an independent if he doesn't win the Republican nomination.

"I am very conservative," Trump told The Wall Street Journal in a video interview. "The concern is if I don't win, will I run as an independent, and I think the answer is probably yes."

Trump, who has risen in presidential polls by CNN and others, has said he would make a decision by June whether to run for the White House. He has been outspoken in his criticism of President Obama, repeatedly harping at the president about his birth certificate. (Obama was born in Hawaii.)
