DescriptionWhile a string of incoming governors have and will tone down plans for inaugural celebrations, it seems incoming Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is taking a different approach.

The Republican governor-elect says he will continue with plans for an inaugural ball with tickets costing $150 a ticket. The price reflects an increase in price from Governor Ed Rendell’s ball which cost $100 per person. Tickets for Mr. Rendell’s first inaugural ball in 2003 cost $50.

That said, Mr. Corbett is toning down the celebration in at least one way: the rock show. The Pennsylvania Republican will not see a return of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, a guest of Governor Ed Rendell four years ago.
