Description | Americans made it clear in the midterm elections that they oppose a new policy that puts Washington largely in control of their health care. Almost 60 percent of voters, according to Rasmussen exit polling, support efforts to repeal and replace President Barack Obama’s new health care law.
The president was asked Nov. 3 about his health care law’s impact on the election. He didn’t seem to understand the American people’s message. He seems to think that Americans liked his policy — but not his sales pitch.
During the president’s first year in office, he participated in 42 news conferences, gave 158 interviews (including five Sunday shows in one day), held 23 town hall meetings and seven campaign rallies. In fact, there were only 21 days in his first year when he had no public or media events.
The American people clearly heard his sales pitch — and didn’t want to buy his product. |
