Description | Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., the first person to be openly gay and then elected to Congress, reacted to Friday's Supreme Court ruling that a controversial law banning gays serving openly can stay intact while a ruling overturning it is under appeal.
The House voted over the summer to repeal DADT decision.
Here is Polis' statement:
"Don't ask Don't tell is going to end, either judicially or legislatively, and it is better if we do it legislatively so that the military is part of the planning process. |
