Description | WASHINGTON, D.C. – During the Nuclear Security Summit Monday, President Barack Obama greeted Chinese President Hu Jintao with a slight bow and a handshake. However, the Chinese president did not bow and instead kept an upright posture during the handshake.
The summit’s purpose is aimed at preventing nuclear terrorism through safeguarding weapons along with strong foreign policy approaches.
Obama’s bow to Hu this week wasn’t his first bow to the Communist leader. In November of 2009 Obama bowed several times to Hu during a town hall event in Shanghai, China. |
