Description | ReMax founder Dave Liniger is being courted by fellow Republicans to jump into the governor's race, a prospect Liniger is considering, multiple sources involved in or close to the conversations told The Denver Post today.
Liniger doesn't have political experience but has the ability to put millions of his own money into the race. He also has significant business credibility. He started with one office in Denver in 1973 and now the company has more than 100,000 agents in more than 75 countries.
But a number of things must fall into place before Liniger can make a final decision, sources said.
First, former congressman Scott McInnis would have to win tonight's primary. Then McInnis must agree to get out, a move he has repeatedly said he would not make (Most GOP leaders believe his primary opponent Dan Maes will stay in the race should he win tonight). |
