Description | Remember Tim Crawford, the "tea party" conservative who mystifyingly won the Democratic party's nomination to challenge Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.)? On May 22 he was invited to address a group of Democratic women who, unsurprisingly, hounded him over his issue stances. Crawford, in a huff, told them he would quit the race. The next day he sent them a lengthy, rambling letter explaining why he had to stay in.
The letter is strange enough that I've printed it below the fold and am now wondering if Kesha Rogers is only the second-strangest Democrat to win a nomination in a year when the party is having a bit more troubling recruiting. |
