Description | California Gubernatorial candidate Douglas Hughes (R) is running on a platform of expelling all convicted pedophiles from his state.
Don't worry though, Hughes has a plan for where they'll go: Santa Rosa Island, or as he calls it, "Pedophile Island."
Hughes says convicted pedophiles would either be forced to leave the state, remain in prison for life, or relocate to Santa Rosa Island. The plan involves a self-sustained farming and ranching community that provides a "controlled environment that promotes abstaining from sexual deviancy."
And how does one create such a community? Hughes describes how a "lead team" of "police, fire personnel, judges, fish and game agents, forest rangers, ranchers, farmers, building contractors, surveyors, and the like to establish the "Island" community." All of them will presumably be convicted sex offenders. |
