DescriptionMONTREAL — A new poll suggests a large number of Quebecers don't consider themselves as either federalists or sovereigntists.

Twenty-two per cent described themselves as federalist and 24 per cent as sovereigntist.

But 22 per cent of respondents indicated they were partly both and 25 per cent said they were neither.

The CROP poll, conducted for The Federal Idea, an upstart think tank, also suggests an overwhelming number of Quebecers think the sovereignty debate is settled.

Pollster Alain Giguere says the results are a warning to both federal and provincial politicians that sovereignty issues are no a longer a priority for voters in the province.
