| Description | Wisconsin businessman Ron Johnson has done everything to ready a campaign against Sen. Russ Feingold (D) except make a formal announcement.
Johnson on Monday filed a statement of candidacy and organized a campaign committee, according to paperwork on file in the Senate's public records office.
The latter document identifies a campaign Web site that so far isn't active.
Wispolitics.com reported last week that Johnson hired some senior campaign staff. He's expected to announce his campaign ahead of the state GOP convention May 21-23. |
