| Description | Detroit City Clerk Jackie Currie is in danger of losing her crown as the most arrogantly incompetent election official in Metro Detroit.
For years, Currie has stood defiant in the face of criticism that she botched balloting and mishandled vote counts.
But nothing Currie has ever done is as idiotic as the decision Tuesday night by Rosalie Lake, clerk of the tiny Oakland County village Lake Angelus. After the polls closed, Lake locked up the election vote totals and refused to release them.
Her reason? She doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the losing candidate.
