Description | Nick Clegg was involved in a successful lobbying effort by the Royal Bank of Scotland to weaken European Union financial regulations that were designed to avert a banking crash, it has emerged.
He was a partner of GPlus, a controversial Brussels-based lobbyist, that acted for RBS in its attempt to water down the rules.
The campaign was at its height when Mr Clegg was a partner, between spring 2004 and early 2005. |
