| Description | Mirek Topolanek remains Czech Civic Democrats (ODS) chairman and will lead the party in the May elections, he told journalists after the 12-hour meeting of the ODS leadership Tuesday, where he faced calls on him to resign over his recent controversial utterances.
Topolanek apologised for his statements. He said he plans to continue the election campaign and be more careful what he says.
Now that two months are left before the elections, some in the ODS are afraid that the party may lose voters' support due to Topolanek's controversial conduct. |
