DescriptionFrom the desk of OurCampaigns Secretary of State Bob Heaney -

Fellow OCers, this site has grown by leaps and bounds since I first logged on way back in September as a socialist with little power other than that to merely post. That "478" sitting in my message box looked like such a high number with such little seniority or power attached to it, but today can be taken as a symbol of experience and prestige among the members of our site, especially our youngest breed of newcomers, with numbers in the 700s.

Which leads me to the title of my statement. In the past three months, we've grown nearly 75% larger as a population. With the current prolific growth patterns, OurCampaigns will likely see its 1000th member within the next three months. This is quite an accomplishment, one that shouldn't be overlooked or written off. This site is so near and dear to my heart that I don't know where I'd be without it, and when I inevitably see that milestone poster put up his first message with those four digits next to his name, it will make my heart burst with pride to know this site has been so successful.

I'm no expert when it comes to growth patterns and such, but I think we can expect 1000 to log on some time in early to mid March. I think some sort of site-wide holiday should be established on the day that user first logs on as testament to the greatness of this site. Until then, friends, let's keep up the good work on this site.

Your Secretary of State,
Bob Heaney
