Description | Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) was treated for a bleeding ulcer and is expected to return to work "soon," according to a spokesman.
The 86-year-old senator was hospitalized late Monday after falling at his home.
Lautenberg underwent an endoscopy procedure early Tuesday to treat the ulcer.
"Early this morning doctors diagnosed Sen. Lautenberg with a bleeding ulcer, and he underwent a successful endoscopy procedure to treat it," spokesman Caley Gray said. "After becoming lightheaded and taking a fall as a result of the condition, the senator sought medical attention last night." |
