| Description | WASHINGTON (AP) - The wife of Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal has cruised through a Senate hearing on her nomination to the federal bench in Wyoming with only a minor ripple.
The Senate Judiciary Committee didn't vote Wednesday on attorney Nancy Freudenthal's nomination, but the handful of members present said they were satisfied with her qualifications for the bench.
The only difficult question put to Nancy Freudenthal came from Sen. Tom Coburn, an Oklahoma Republican. He asked the Wyoming first lady why she abandoned her promise not to represent legal clients before boards and commissions whose members were appointed by her husband. |
