Endorsements continue to roll in the 10th Congressional District primary, with Republican Robert Dold getting support from former Vice President Dan Quayle and Democrat Julie Hamos picking up backing from an environmental group.

Quayle is scheduled to appear Thursday with Dold at a Northbrook restaurant to announce his support. Dold, now a Kenilworth businessman, worked for Quayle during the 1988 campaign and also served in the vice president's office after the election.

Earlier this week, Dold announced the backing of Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica of Riverside.

Also running in the Feb. 2 Republican primary are state Rep. Elizabeth Coulson of Glenview, Highland Park pediatrician Arie Friedman, Winnetka business owner Dick Green and Lake Forest options trader Paul Hamann.
On the Democratic side, Hamos, a state representative from Wilmette, picked up support from the Sierra Club.

In a news release, the group called Hamos “one of the strongest environmental champions in Illinois government.”
Competing against Hamos for the Democratic nomination are two time congressional candidate Dan Seals and Highland Park attorney Elliot Richardson.

Seals recently announced he’d garnered the backing of two Democratic state lawmakers, state Rep. Mark Walker of Arlington Heights and state Sen. Dan Kotowski of Park Ridge.
