Description | HARAHAN, La. -- The WDSU I-Team has learned that Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard will resign from his post Friday afternoon.
Broussard, who is serving his second term as parish president, has faced controversy in recent weeks because of an investigation into his chief administrative officer, Tim Whitmer.
Whitmer resigned from his post this week amid allegations that his businesses had improper ties to parish government. Broussard appointed Parish Public Works Director Jose Gonzalez to take his place. |
