| Description | Mayor Oscar Goodman has changed his voter registration from Democrat to nonpartisan. The mayor made the change official with an announcement at city hall on Tuesday. Goodman said he hasn't yet decided whether to run for governor next year, but this move allows him to keep his options open, adding "If I should run for something, I want to be able to do it my way." He also expressed frustration with the two-party system, saying it always leads to "gridlock." The mayor's wife Carolyn also changed her registration to match her husband's, but told reporters she does not plan to run for mayor to succeed him. |
