Description Michael Sohn, a longtime aide to former Rep. Chris Shays (R-Conn.), has been indicted on embezzlement and tax evasion charges. Sohn, who is accused of embezzling campaign money, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

According to the indictment, which was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in New Haven, Conn., a grand jury found sufficient evidence to charge Sohn with four counts of embezzlement, four counts of false statements in connection with the campaign's filings with the Federal Election Commission and four counts of tax-related offenses.

Also according to the indictment, Sohn is accused of embezzling more than $250,000 from Shays' 2006 and 2008 campaigns.
