There's an upside to Mark Green's defeat last week, he says: His family gets a break and a vow that, this time, it really was his last campaign.
"My family are loving, normal people who are often surprised and hurt by the stuff that goes on [in] a high-level political campaign," Green told the Daily News after his lopsided defeat by Bill de Blasio in the Democratic public advocate runoff.
Wife Deni, daughter Jenya and son Jonah are relieved it's over, he added: "My daughter said, 'That's that. Now you can go back to what you've always loved and are good at." |
