Description | These are tough times in Phoenix, where we face persistent hundred-degree days, an economy that's circling the drain, and a state budget with more holes than the latest Dan Brown novel.
If you're looking for any consolation, don't ask Gov. Jan Brewer. The state's cheerleader-in-chief had this to say Wednesday about our fair Capitol:
"It's a great relief to say the least to get out of that hell hole in Phoenix."
Brewer's comments to a group of Republicans at the Tucson Country Club drew questions about which hell hole in particular she was referring to -- was it the capital city itself? The House and Senate buildings she recently put up for sale? |
