| Description | HAMILTON - A judge dismissed extortion and attempted extortion charges against state Sen. Roger Bedford on Wednesday, saying the case was a political matter that did not belong in the courtroom.
"I have to do what my conscience leads me to do," Judge Jerry White said after the state rested its case at noon on the second day of Bedford's trial. "I don't think a crime was committed."
