Description | As long as I live, I don't think Florida will see a more chaotic election cycle than 2010. Now, Mel Martinez has thrown in another twist by resigning early, leaving the decision to pick his appointment to Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running to replace Martinez himself. Let's take a look at some of the names being floated around complete with our odds, which we calculated through the magic of "picking numbers at random that sounded sensible."
Himself Chances: 1/100
Former AG and SOS Jim Smith Chances: 40/100
Sen. Connie Mack Chances: 20/100 [seems to have declared himself out of the race]
State. Sen. Dan Webster Chances: 10/100
Gov. Bob Martinez Chances: 5/100
Gov. Jeb Bush Chances: 1/100
Rep. Katherine Harris Chances: 0/100
Former Reps. Tim Feeney, E. Clay Shaw Jr., or Ric Keller Chances: 1/100 each
Someone Else Entirely Chances: 20/100
