| Description | She was Rep. Don Young's number-one fan, but will no longer be by his side.
The Congressman's wife, Lu Young, died Saturday night.
The couple met in Fort Yukon and had since traveled across the country together.
On Sunday night, Young asked for privacy as he copes with the loss of his wife.
If you ever saw Rep. Young, chances are Lu Young wasn't far away.
"She's truly the light in his day," said Sen. Lisa Murkowski in a phone interview Sunday.
No one could have guessed, but video footage taken on June 30 as Young filed for re-election would be the last time the two would go in front of cameras together.
