DescriptionState Rep. David Bradley, D-Tucson, says he’s decided not to run for governor next year. But he is in the early stages of considering a bid for secretary of state, Arizona’s second-highest elected office.

Bradley first floated his name to us early this year and clearly faced an uphill battle being from outside Maricopa County.

“I’m not going to run,” Bradley told me today.

Why? Well, he said Jim Pederson‘s decision to stay out of the governor’s race crippled his strategy — basically that Pederson would lampoon Terry Goddard, and as the two fought it out, Bradley would emerge from behind.
