Description | First, I´ll concede that few things in politics are worth a three-year buildup. But there´s an election on the horizon in 2006 that merits the early buzz.
That´s the promise — all but certain barring some life-changing event — of the most hard-fought Idaho Republican primary ever.
The contest will pit U.S. Rep. C.L. “Butch” Otter against Lt. Gov. Jim Risch for the GOP nomination to succeed Gov. Dirk Kempthorne, who has said he will not seek a third term. |
