DescriptionYou may have already seen it at Veterans Park, Cathedral Square, Bradford Beach, South Shore Park or any number of church festivals and events so far this summer. Since Memorial Day a mobile billboard has appeared on the streets of the Greater Milwaukee Area emblazoned with the words "Elect Dan Sebring for Congress". Mr. Sebring, a U.S. Navy veteran and local small business owner who can trace his roots to the Mayflower, actually threw his hat in the ring after the September 2008 primary election. Upon learning there was no Republican candidate during the 2008 primary, Mr. Sebring took it upon himself to mount a write-in campaign. In a six week campaign that very few people knew about, 514 write-in votes were cast for legitimate candidates. Of those 514 votes Mr. Sebring garnered 483, enough of a success to spur Mr. Sebring on to file his declaration of intent for the 2010 election last December. Mr. Sebring is Pro Life, supports 2nd Amendment rights, lower taxes, a smaller Federal Government, elimination of capital gains and the "Death Tax" and is opposed to Cap and Trade.
