Description"Pittsburgh is No. 1 again.

This time in The Economist magazine's ranking of the most livable city in the United States.

The British magazine's ranking comes weeks after President Barack Obama chose Pittsburgh to host the G-20 summit in September, calling it a symbol of economic recovery.

Globally, the Economist survey ranked Pittsburgh 29th most livable. Vancouver, Canada tops that list.

The magazine considers stability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

In 2007, the 25th anniversary edition of Rand McNally's "Places Rated Almanac" also ranked Pittsburgh most livable.

Pittsburgh's economy was decimated when the U.S. steel industry collapsed 30 years ago. It has been struggling to recover ever since."
