Jones, Miller to campaign for [TX] District 83 House seat

| Description | Two men are expected to announce their candidacies today for the District 83 seat in the Texas House of Representatives.
Longtime state Rep. Delwin Jones, R-Lubbock, intends to seek re-election and Lubbock businessman John E. Miller, a Democrat, also plans to run.
District 83 includes a portion of Lubbock County and all of Hockley, Cochran, Yoakum, and Gaines counties.
Jones, 79, has served in the state House for 24 years. Dur ing the past session, Jones ser ved on the Agriculture Com mittee and the Licensing Com mittee.
