DescriptionConfidence continues to grow this week that America is turning the corner on many of the problems that have beset it in recent years.

Forty percent (40%) of U.S. voters now say the country is going in the right direction, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone poll.

That’s up two points from a week ago and a 19-point increase from early November when Barack Obama was inaugurated president. It also marks the highest that figure has been in nearly five years.

But 55% say America is going down the wrong track. Still, correspondingly, this is the lowest level for that question since 2004.
