| Description | "Assemblyman Jeff Van Drew, D-Cape May, Cumberland and Atlantic, will resign as mayor of Dennis Township by the end of January.
The township mayor for the past five years and a member of the Township Committee since 1991, Van Drew said he thinks it is in the best interests of both his family and his constituents to relinquish his mayoral seat.
"While I have thoroughly enjoyed my service as mayor of Dennis Township, it is time for me to move on," Van Drew said."
